Do Something Good
We’ve talked before on here about adaptive clothing lines for children’s (like Tommy Hilfiger’s line) and another clothing brand is jumping on the bandwagon!
But first, a quick update on what adaptive clothing are: children with disabilities have a much harder time with clothing items than other kids. Things like snaps or zippers that we don’t think twice about can make something like getting dressed a huge hassle. Adaptive clothing designs the clothes so they’re easier to take on and off. They also replaces things like zippers and buttons with easier materials like magnets.
So what’s the latest company to jump on board (besides Kohls, Target, and Tommy)? Zappos! Zappos Adaptive created a council to help advise them on the clothing creation. They also took feedback from parents and children to hear how this clothing would/did effect their lives. Zappos Adaptive knows that they have to keep working and improving on Zappos Adaptive, but they’ve already made great strides!
