Do Something Good
This is a shortie, but a goodie. If you’ve been paying attention to the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, then you might have heard that they just won an amazing game against Thailand, with a score of 13-0.
One of the standouts on the team, Alex Morgan, who shot 5 of the 13 goals, is the one I wanted to quickly talk about today. Why? Well, if you pay attention closely, you’ll notice that during every match, Alex Morgan’s pink headband appears. In fact, it’s appeared in every match since she was playing in college where she met her husband. Why? Morgan wears the headband in support of her mother-in-law who was diagnosed with breast cancer around that time (the first of two diagnosis-es, both of which she thankfully survived).
It may be something small, but Alex Morgan’s pink headband is such a strong show of support for breast cancer awareness that she does for no other reason but support and love.
