How To Style Graphic Tees

Can one be a remixing graphic tee expert? Well, if you were in a sorority in college, then yes. The number of times I needed to wear some sort of specific was kind of ridiculous. So learning how to style a graphic tee was an exercise in itself. Thanks to three years in a sorority, I learned quite a few tips.

Always tuck in (or front tuck) your shirt

An automatic way to make your outfit look better? Tuck in your tee! If your bottoms are high-waist, then you should tuck your shirt in entirely. But if you bottom is mid-waist, then you can get away with just a front tuck, like I did in this picture. It instantly gives you a waist and stops your shirt from making you look too bulky.

Should I do a post on how to front tuck your shirt? You can do it with other shirts besides a graphic tee! You can front tuck your button up, blouse, tank, any top!

Roll the sleeves

Okay, so this one applies more to unisex tees than it does to a tee like the one I’m wearing. When you’re wearing a unisex tee, the sleeves can be a little overwhelming. The best way to deal with this? Roll the sleeves up twice. I don’t know why, but just folding it up twice makes the sleeves look so much better!

Pair it with a skirt

Pairing your is when you’re really ready to step it up a notch. You can just wear jeans or a bottom (in fact, I do it all of the time). But it’s so much more fun to pair it with a skirt. Your outfit just looks cuter and you need to know that.

Find Like Colors

One of the fun parts of graphic tees is that they often have fun colors pulled on to a plain white or black tee. So a super easy way to style your tee is to pull a color out of your tee and then accessorize one piece with that color. For instance, if I was wearing this top with jeans, then I might pair it with red shoes or a red purse. But I would probably only pick one of those things to help pop that color out, but not overwhelm your senses.
