I’m going to start this post by making three things very clear. First, this post was a long time coming. Second, finding the perfect pair of joggers was incredibly hard. Thrid, of course, when I finally found one perfect pair,  shortly after found two other pairs.

When it rains, it pours, people.

When I started out on this one originally, the odds were not in my favorite for this one. Why? Well first, I was looking for a nicer material that I could wear to work. That immediately eliminated a large portion of the pairs made out of sweatpants material. Next, according to what some retailers deem to be “correct proportions” my thighs and height do not match. Aka, I’m short, but my thighs are a little larger. The interesting hems at the bottom also make many pairs of larger pairs of joggers harder to shorten. To that I say, get over it clothing industry, I work out.

While my attitude is great, it doesn’t make me find a pair of joggers quicker.

Many failed pairs later, here are the three final perfect pairs of joggers and where I found them. Only one pair is no longer available at it’s original retailer. However, I know that you can easily find it on Poshmark or other resale sites.

J.Crew Reese Pants (as seen on me)

The first pair I finally kept and also the pair that sold out way too fast. This pair has a slight curved hem at the bottom, which allows for a fun detail, but also made it incredibly difficult to hem. I had to get the length just right with the pair I picked. They have a similar-ish pair at J.Crew Factory this year, but I don’t love it as much.

Old Navy Mid-Rise Pull-On Straight Pants

Finding this one in black was a major win. The J.Crew pair I got by a miracle and there were no black pairs available by the time I came back. I knew I wanted a black pair for work though. It would be worth the wait, so I went back to passively hunting. Apparently that was a better idea, since this pair literally fell in my lap. I love the black pair, but the downside to the navy pair is that it has a black stripe running down the side. Some people may like it, but that was a turnoff to me.

Everlane The Italian GoWeave Easy Pant

I think we all know by now that Everlane can do no wrong. There are two notes I want to make about these. First, I sized down one size from my normal size for these. Second, if you’re as petite as me (I’m 5 ft), I would suggest flipping the hem up once and having the tailor lengthen it to that length. The good new is though, they have the pants available in green, black, and navy.

You can bet I ordered the green!

So those are what I think are the perfect pairs of joggers. What about you? Do you own the perfect pair of joggers? Or do you even wear joggers? I’d love to know!
