My first quarter of the budget is complete! I’m really enjoying this quarterly budget system so far. It’s helped me try harder to save on certain items and think about what I really want. It’s helped that I’ve also been doing massive closet clean outs and selling things (and that Old Navy product selections and deals have been getting even better). Now that the first quarter is complete, it’s on to the second quarter and a fresh $500. I’ve decided for this budget that in an effort to save money, I’m not going to carry over the remaining amount.

For the second quarter, I’m trying to focus what I want to buy even more by making lists of holes in my closet what exactly I want to buy. I shared a few of those items in Wednesday’s post. While that list had more than I’m actually planning on getting, it helped me really narrow down what I’ve been looking for.
