What’s Blogger Style Two Ways?
But first, a little recap for you. What’s blogger style two ways? Well for those of you just joining us for the first time (hi!) it’s a fun link up that Anne and I started doing a few months ago. We basically have the same wardrobe so we thought it would be fun to show you different ways to style the pieces that we both have.
Wearing Vests
I didn’t start wearing vests until I moved to DC. Honestly, growing up in the midwest, I didn’t understand the point of vests. What if your arms get cold? But now that I live in DC, I totally get it.
Now that I walk everywhere, I get overheated FAST. Vests are the perfect way to stay cool-ish, but still keep your core body warm.
The J.Crew Factory Puffer Vest
J.Crew has quickly become my favorite place to go for puffer vests. They have solid colors, but they also have the cutest designs! It’s where I got my houndstooth design that everyone loves and my plaid vest. Their vests are the perfect combination of being puffer vests, but not being too overwhelming (which I’ve definitely had problems with before).
How I Styled My J.Crew Factory Puffer Vest
I was originally going to pair this with my golden sweater, but I quickly realized that since we were going apple picking, I would get too hot too quickly if I wore a sweater. Easy solution? A striped shirt!
I also paired it with my favorite moto boots, which are sadly a few years old and impossible to find in stores right now. BUT there are similar pairs all over poshmark (use code JSHNA to get $10 off your first order!). I love wearing them on chilly days whenever I know I’m going to be doing a lot of walking. Plus, I can’t resist the red zipper detail.
Finally, to top it off, I added a bandanna into my hair. I never thought I would get into this trend, but I kind of love it now! It’s such a fun little detail!
