My 2018 Word of the Year, a Reader Survey, AND Giveaway (oh my!)

About two years ago, another blogger introduced me to the idea of having a word of the year. This word would be your guiding post for the year, and help you move forward. I liked the idea of adopting this instead of resolutions because it gave me the flexibility to focus on different things but still have a firm base. In 2015, my word was relax. In 2016, it was “No.” 2017? “Stumbling block” as in, don’t put a stumbling block in your way.

So what’s my word in 2018?

Challenge.

As I said yesterday, 2017 was a challenging year, but in 2018, I really want to focus on challenging myself. Push myself out of my comfort zone in a way that helps me grow professionally and personally. Move ahead with challenges that face my blog.

So what’s the first way I’m challenging myself and doing something out of my comfort zone?

I’ve created my first ever reader survey.

I’ve wanted to do one for a while, but the idea has always scared me a little. But as I said yesterday, I want to create more content for you. And what’s one of the best ways to do that? Ask you what you want!

So please fill out the survey! I promise it won’t take you very long.

Also, as a thank you, I’m going to host a giveaway to win a $50 gift card to Everlane. How do you enter to win? Easy: everyone who fills out the survey and leaves their email address at the end will be automatically entered to win. Both the survey (and the giveaway) will be open for the next 7 days (until 1/9/17 at 11:59pm).

If you could take a few minutes of your time to fill it out, it would mean the world to me.

Thank you and I can’t wait to read your thoughts and ideas!
