It’s the beginning of the month and the month is currently…..going?

feeling

Worn out. Emotionally, physically, mentally. All of the things from all of the things. This quarantine has been a roller-coaster of highs and lows and the past few days have been a low. Things will change, but that’s just where I am right now.

wearing

I bought the Everlane Reknit Day Glove during their Choose What You Pay sale and oh my gosh. I don’t think I’ve taken them off of my feet since. Since I haven’t worn them outside, wear them around the house. Which means I’m basically wearing them all of the time (like you leave the house that often either). The Everlane Reknit Day Glove still has plenty of colors marked down, so you need to pick up a pair for yourself too.

buying

This is so odd, but I’ve been buying a lot of books and coloring books lately. I normally try to not buy books because of the library, but some of the kindle deals have been too good! Also, Book of the Month has had some amazing options the last two months, so I end up getting an add-on every month. On top of that, I’ve been really enjoying coloring as a way to relax. I’ve found some really specific coloring books (like The Selection Coloring Book and fashion coloring books) and some random fun ones. To make my coloring even better, I splurged and got myself a 100 color pencil set.

craving

Ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. I’m a child and just wanted things that I can have easy access to. In case you want me to get even MORE specific, Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip is amazing. I’ve also been test tasting other random flavors.

discussing

The most important conversation on the internet right now. I’m muting my social media this week, so I can spend the time learning and listening to important Black voices in the media right now. Jessica Wilson, MS. RD and Alishia McCullough are the two women leading this challenge (the #AmplifyMelanatedVoices Challenge). They’re also two amazing voices to follow to learn more, help find ways to question your thoughts and beliefs, and find others to follow and learn from this week. Yesterday I also posted a list of the books that have challenged my thoughts and belief systems. It’s a great list to check out if you want a fiction read right now.

As always, linking up with Anne In Residence.
