A lot of shopping and a little bit of keeping, but I also have a full pile of clothes in my undecided pile. Some of them because I think I can get a price adjustment. Others because, well….I love them, but I’m nervous about committing. I’m waiting to see what my Ebates Rebates check in February looks like and I think that will make some of my decisions for me. I’m hoping that staring at those pieces might also tamper down the February itch to shop? It’s such a weird in between month, I’m not really sure what any shopping this month would look like anyways.

I’m also getting the itch to do another closet clean-out. Slash, I’m getting the itch to do an entire apartment clean-out. But I think that me actually doing this would require two things: first, TIME. A day where I’m fully caught up on my blog work and courses, so I don’t feel like I have that hanging over my head. Second, someone there to talk me out of keeping things and to also immediately list things on Poshmark so I don’t get lazy and forget to do that.

Truthfully, I’m not sure if either (time or a person to hold my hand through the process) is going to happen anytime in the near future. Unless my VA magically feels like visiting DC soon (cough, hint, hint). So I’m just going to have to divide this project into chunks and start conquering it.

So there you have it. All of the weird thoughts going through my head in January. A pile of undecided clothes, a bunch of J.Crew pieces, and willing myself to get things done.

  1. Dang, I thought I was done shopping for a little while, but those J.Crew finds! I think I might need that revsersible one… so pretty. And it’s like getting two for the price of one, so totally justified, right?

I totally understand the clean-out itch – combination of New Year’s urges and also February being a kind of weird in-between time. But I agree, it’s way better to have time for both the cleanout and the poshmark listing, otherwise you just end up with a big pile stuffed into a different closet, like I have.

  2. Adding that J.Crew Factory bell sleeve shirt to the list of things I need immediately – I don’t think a prettier basic exists!
