Since it is October, it’s time for me to talk about one of my favorite partnerships: Aerie Supports Bright Pink.

Have you heard of this partnership before?

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you definitely have. If not, let me give you a quick catch up. Aerie and Bright Pink have been partnering together for many years to help raise awareness among young woman about breast cancer prevention.

Many young women don’t realize or believe that breast cancer can effect them at such a young age. But Bright Pink helps to dispel that myth and teach women how they can arm themselves and learn about early detection and prevention.

One of my favorite things that Bright Pink does is monthly text reminders for self examinations.

It’s a tiny thing, but it can go a long way in helping women detect any early signs of breast cancer. If you haven’t signed up for them yet, take a minute and go do that now!

As part of this partnership, each year aerie will put out a limited edition item where 100% of the sales will go directly towards supporting Bright Pink. This year, the item is an adorable “Take Care of Your Girls” long sleeve tee (and it comes in two colors)! It’s also super soft and comfortable.

I have really loved seeing how this partnership has grown and evolved and I can’t wait to see where it continues to go.

But in the meantime, you have two missions to complete for the month of October:

First, sign up for monthly text reminders (super easy). Second, purchase your Take Care of Your Girls tee (it’s essentially a donation with a thank you gift). That’s it! Just those two things and you’ve already taken the steps to help your life and the lives of others.

Thanks for reading today!
