I feel like I’ve finally started to establish a routine with blog posts over here that’s really helped me manage my time. While I’m going to go more into work life balance later this week, I thought I would share with you a little bit of how I plan out posts for the blog.

With posts, I try to follow this general schedule:

Monday: Outfit post
Tuesday: Work Appropriate for Who, Clothing Reviews, or day off
Wednesday: Wednesday Wishlist
Thursday: Outfit post or day off
Friday: Friday Night Links
Saturday: Saturday’s Something Good (so whatever I feel like talking about) or day off
Sunday: Sunday Book Club or day off

The nice thing about this schedule is that with it, I don’t feel bad giving myself a break but I can also guarantee that there’s going to be a post on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It also makes my life easier because I know when I’ll have room in my schedule for sponsored posts and I can plan out things far in advance (type A over here!).

That’s just your peak behind the scenes for now. More to come later this week!

  1. Cute! I have this skirt, and I always like more styling ideas 🙂

Also, love to hear the schedules etc. other bloggers come up with. Several years ago I came up with a loose similar schedule (outfits on Tuesdays, pinterest posts on Thursdays, etc.) and it helped so much. I love the built-in idea generator instead of just approaching every day's post as a blank slate. And as a reader I like structure like that, so I hope that means mine do too, ha!

  2. I absolutely love this skirt! It's a great colour and such a cute shape. Lovely blouse too!

  3. Lovely look, the accessories are perfect <3

  4. The fluted skirt from J.Crew is one of my all-time favorites. I love the fit and material and have sadly now purchased in every color! 🙂 You look great! XO

  5. I wish I had gotten into it before they stopped making all of the wonderful colors! I love my navy skirt, but I want pink too!

  6. Thank you Gina!

  7. Thank you! i'm in love with the skirt too!

  8. You were the one who inspired me to get the skirt! I'm not-so-secretly just taking styling ideas from you 😛

I'm a fan of the structure also, it makes it easier to put together the posts! Also, ditto the reader part, I like knowing what's coming or when I'll definitely get to see an outfit post.

  9. I have no problem with that… having done the same thing myself. I love being closet twins with blogger friends – more ideas for all! 🙂

  10. I just came from the What I Wore Link Up. I love this outfit. So unique!
