The Chambray Dress

Another mission has been successfully completed, I’ve found a chambray dress! Actually, I’ve found two great chambray dresses!

The first, which you’re seeing today is from Old Navy. It’s a little bit of a looser fit that I was looking for, but it’s so comfortable. I don’t know what they’ve been doing to their denim, but I was honestly shocked with how comfortable the dress was. Since the weather was a little weird in DC (what’s new?), I decided to pair it with new ankle boots and an old vest. The vest added an extra layer of warmth, which was needed off and on throughout the day.

I’m excited to also finally share these ankle boots on the blog! I picked them up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (remember that thing?) this past summer. They’ve paired perfectly with so many outfits, including this chambray dress, but I haven’t had the chance to share them! They’re also on sale now for $80, so I’d suggest picking them up for yourself. Speaking of sales, this dress was only $19 when I picked it up and is probably marked down even more now.

How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was a little odd. I kept getting migraines in the mornings, which made me pretty sleepy in the afternoons. I did finally get the chance to go “hiking” (leisurely stroll) at Great Falls this weekend though! It’s been on my list for a while, so I’m glad I could finally cross it off. Plus, the leaves in DC are finally changing, so it was the perfect weekend to head up to Great Falls and see all of them changing. Other than that, it was a lot of naps, getting some things done around my house, and of course, blog work.

Let me know what you did! Do you have any fun things planned for this week? I’m getting to go see the Kellogs Gymnastics Tour and a quick trip up to NYC!

  1. Cute dress and I’m loving those boots! I need to check those out!

  2. I love this denim dress! But imho I think it´d look better without the vest, maybe only with a belt 😉

  3. Love the way you styled your dress.
