My plan for last night: come home from part time job, write SSG, go to sleep.
What actually happened last night: Come home and immediately fall asleep.
I feel like that also sums up my week. But, I just found out that my office is going to be closed from December 24th to January 2nd, so I’ll have a lot of r&r time in the next week.

Is texting actually advancing language?
The science of a chocolate chip cookie. Absolutely fascinating if you’re like me and have spent hours making chocolate chip cookies. Wait, that’s just me? Oh. Awkward.
Did anyone else watch Once this weekend? At first the ending started to seem like a series ending, but I love the twist they added at the end. I don’t know if I can handle waiting until March for it to come back. Good thing I have a lot of series to watch through to hold me over.
Embarassing story of the week/what I’ve been reading: Finally read JK Rowling’s The Cuckoo’s Calling. It was amazing (much better than The Casual Vacancy). In fact, I got so caught up in it that when I was reading it on the bus on my way to work, the bus made it to it’s final destination (where I normally transfer), everyone got off the bus, the bus driver turned off the engine and the bus lights, and that was when I finally looked up from the book and realized that it was time to get off the bus. Needless to say, the bus driver was staring at me like I was crazy.
