I really just need to stop saying I’m going to stop shopping and accept when it happens. Maybe I already did that? I feel like I’ve had the memory of a fly during the last three months, so who knows what I’ve said.

Before we dive into my retail therapy reviews, I do want to let you guys know one thing. There are a few things from my orders that didn’t make it into my reviews. Mostly because I never tried them on. I ordered this sweater and this jacket from Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific, but I didn’t try them on before returning (which is why they aren’t pictured). When I looked at them online, I thought they were white and green, not pink and green. Both are still super cute, but I wasn’t really interested in a pink and green vibe.

Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific Three Quarter Sleeve Sweater, XS

I was a little nervous about this sweater, because I wasn’t in love with some the sweater material from her last collection. But this one? So soft! It’s true to size and fits so well. I also love the colors in it (which are perfect for pride month!). This sweater was so good in fact that I wore this sweater basically the day after I tried it on.

Verdict: Keep!

Old Navy Maxi Sundress, XS, Blue Gingham

Let’s start with the fact that I wanted this dress to work so badly. I also wanted Old Navy to come out with this dress in petite. Sadly, neither happened. In terms of length, this dress can work for petites. As you can see, it hit my ankles pretty well. However, this dress is a fit and flare style and the dress’s length was too low on my torso. The other issue? There was at least one (maybe two?) layers of fabric underneath the dress. I felt like I was actually swimming around in fabric whenever I moved. I was just too overwhelmed.

Verdict: Return

(And also, yes, I got a bad sunburn, thank god it’s almost gone now.)

dc woman blogger wearing old navy cropped linen-blend pants

Old Navy Cropped Linen-Blend Pants, XS, Black Stripe

These pants were as soft as pajama pants! Actually, it really felt like I was in fact wearing pajama pants. I couldn’t decided if I loved it or if it was really weird. These pants were also a little thicker than I expected, as they were a linen blend.

I would recommend them, but I might actually consider sizing up for a roomier fit. They’re cute like this, but I would actually prefer them to be a lot wider.

Verdict: Return, but maybe order in a bigger size?

J.Crew Long-sleeve Tie-Back, XS, Navy

J.Crew Long-sleeve Tie-Back, XS, Navy

I LOVE this top. The tie-back detail is such a cute detail that completely elevates the top. If you got the first version of this top (which I did), the material was VERY thin and flimsy. This material is much thicker and more structured, which I love. I also picked it up in stripes as well. If you have to do a lot of video calls for work, these tops will be GREAT for that.

Verdict: Keep!

dc woman blogger wearing j.crew maxi dress with eyelet trim

J.Crew Maxi Dress with Eyelet Trim, XXS, Distressed Fatigue

I read that a lot of J.Crew’s maxi dresses that were this style were oversized, so I decided to size down when I ordered this dress. It was a great idea. An XXS was actually still kind of loose, but in comfortable, you don’t want tight clothes in the summer kind of way. The material for this dress is similar to the top above in that it’s thicker and not see-through at all.

Now, if this dress had just been the same material all the way through, I may have returned it. It would have been okay, but not great. However, the eyelet trim took it up 10 notches. It made the dress feel not as long and less bulky. It also managed to somehow make the dress look more interesting, if that makes any sense.

So those are some of my retail therapy reviews for now! Let me know what you’ve been ordering and if you’ve picked up anything good.
