It’s so funny because when July was happening, I was in a great state of mind. My shopping was just about getting and replacing a few staples. So while my spending was a little high, I got pieces that are going to get a lot of high use. My July Budget was basically a win.

But it’s funny now because it’s basically the end of August, so I’m working on my August budget and….well…my state of mind is a little different. I feel a bit all over the place right now, so my shopping has leaned a little more in the retail therapy direction. It’s also all over the place. Thank god though that I also believe in retail returning though, otherwise I really don’t know what I would do with myself.

But we’ll talk about that budget when that post goes live. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to keep going with highlighting an item from my budget and why I love it.

Everlane Cashmere Crew

Is it too soon to talk about sweaters? Maybe, because it’s 90 degrees outside right now. However, these sweaters are discounted so much that we MUST talk about them. My obsession with Everlane’s cashmere crew runs deep. I’ve worn these sweaters for years because they are so comfortable, soft, and warm. They aren’t cheap (except right now because SALE), so over the years, I’ve been slowly getting them to replace the cheaper sweaters in my wardrobe.

J.Crew Denim Shift Dress in White

This dress might look a little deceiving at first glance. It looks kind of boring and shapeless online, but that’s where it’s tricked everyone! Once you try it on in person, you realize that it actually has some shape to it! It hugs you at the top and then curves you just slightly along your hips. Plus, it is literally a blank canvas, so you can dress it up however you want. People are missing out with this dress.
