January 2015 Budget

January Budget
Target Moto Boots: $24
Money Earned/Saved: $25
Total for January: $301.58
So here’s my January budget. If you haven’t noticed, I’m on kind of a ponte pants kick, but I can’t help it! The pair I got from Loft have been a perfect for work-I can easily tuck them into boots and it feels like I’m wearing leggings, but thanks to the button and zip, they look appropriate. I’ve also been replacing boots that I have that are on the edge of falling apart or just aren’t comfortable. Since all the end of season sales have been going on, I’ve been able to find things for great prices, which is excellent.

Also, I think I’ve finally decided on my budget for 2015. This year, I’m going to try Fran’s method of $500 over each quarter. I know we’re on slightly different spending schedules, but it’s always nice to try something new. And yes, this means I’ve already spent more than half of my 1st quarter budget, but hopefully this will help me keep my spending in check for February and March.

Finally, how do you guys feel about using this method instead of a collage? Better? Worse? Don’t really care? I still put the links on the text with the prices, but I figured this might make it easier for you to track different items down. I just can’t decide if this looks pretty enough for me (yup, I went there).

What did you buy this month? What budgeting method are you trying this year?

  1. I got that exact Lou and Grey waterfall cardigan during the sale this month! I like it a lot.

I'm not setting an exact budget for myself (It is hard to predict some of my other major expenses so the amount I will have left over for wardrobe-related expenses is also a bit up in the air.)
