Historical drama shows

making

I’m still going hard at that needlepoint. What can I say, it’s the best way for me to spend my time. I just put on an audiobook or the tv and go to town. I’ve been working on the same canvas for a while, but it’s a pretty big one, so I don’t feel too bad about it. But I have a handful of other ones lined up for when I finally finish! (PS that canvas/picture is from Morgan Julia Designs!)

missing

Not much honestly. As I’ve said before, I was a big homebody to begin with! But I’m really missing getting to babysit and see all of the kids I used to babysit for. I also really miss going to the movie theater! It’s really not the same at home. I loved getting to go zone out in a big comfy chair for two hours and just focus on one thing. Whenever I’m at home, I feel like there are so many things to distract me. Going to the movies were also one of the ways I used to hang out with my friends, so there’s that too!

learning

No new recipes! Ha! I think quarantine has really emphasized for me that I love baking, but I’m meh about cooking. I mean, I enjoy it when I have all of the time in the world, which in theory I should have right now, but I actually don’t. While I don’t have kids, I’m still working 8 hour days and when I’m done with work, I’m TIRED. So the idea of going to my kitchen and then cooking a whole meal sounds exhausting. Anything fast and delicious is all I want.

loving

Historical drama shows! Apparently that’s what I need to get me through this time. That and any crazy reality shows. So I’m either watching all of the historical drama shows on Starz like The White Queen or The Spanish Princess. Or Belgravia, or Outlander, or rewatching Miss Fisher. I don’t know why they’re just so comforting, but they are.

reading

The best upcoming sequels! Oh my gosh, I managed to get my hands on the arcs for the sequels to The Royal We and American Royals. The Royal We sequel was absolutely amazing (it comes out in July) and I can’t wait to dive into the American Royals sequel (The Majesty) soon.

As always, linking up with Anne In Residence.
