Gift Guide: The Last Minute Gift

You didn’t wait until the last minute, you swear! Buying the gift just…slipped your mind. Yeah, that sounds good. Don’t get down on yourself. You get wrapped up in all of the parties, baking, and gift wrapping and then you realize: you forgot to get a present for someone on your list. I promise, it happens to the best of us.
I know that yesterday, I talked about how much I love making presents for people, but sometimes you just don’t have time (but in case you do, you should still enter the giveaway for the Beautiful Bracelets by Hand book). When that comes up, I’ve rounded up a bunch of ideas for you here of last minute gifts that are still fun. Plus, I’ve made it even easier for you: since all of the products below are from Shopbop, you can buy gifts for many people at once!
Gift Guide: The Last Minute Gift
1. Pajamas: Maybe don’t get these for your boss, but for a family member? Go a head! There’s nothing more wonderful than a pair of pajamas for lounging cold winter nights.
2. iPhone Stand/Charger: Designers have gotten seriously creative with fun iPhone stands and chargers lately. This one by Jonathan Adler would be perfect for a desk, living room, or bedside table.
3. Coffee Table Books: Make sure you know who you’re giving this to, so you can at least have a general idea what they’re interested in. For instance, I’ll happily take any fashion/shoe books, but for my dad, I would look for any book on the history of Milwaukee or fun conversation starter books.
4. Notebooks/Planners: Everyone (should) need a notebook or planner. Kate Spade really wins at the pretty notebooks so aim straight for that collection when you’re looking for one.
5. Plaid: Once it gets cold, everyone seems to go plaid crazy. Since my school colors were plaid, I’m always in favor of this. You can find everything from mugs to scarves and no one objects to a fun plaid item.
6. Calendars: A great gift for a co-worker or a friend with a home office.
7. Post Its: Pick one with a fun print and no girl would be upset getting this gift. After all, everyone needs more post its.
8 Tea Pot and Mug: Any coffee or tea drinker would love this beautiful stack. Plus, this pair can be easily stacked for easy storage.
9. Blanket: Have a frequent flier friend? They’ll appreciate a fold up, easily portable blanket for their next long flight.
10. Yoga Mat: In case you hadn’t noticed, the gym tends to fill up in January. If you have a friend looking to start up yoga, this mat would be great encouragement. Otherwise, buy this for the yogi in your life. Trust me, they’ll appreciate it.
Also, if you’re really pressed for time (like, the party is this evening), there’s no harm in getting a gift card,  I promise. Gift cards are some of the best presents I get.

I feel awful anymore because gift cards are seriously my go-to. I have less and less time every year to put thought into gifts. I'm at a point where I am absolutely determined to give zero gift cards this year.

  3. Don't feel awful about giftcards! I think they're a completely okay go-to! Actually, half of the time I prefer that people just get me a gift card.

  4. Glad you like them! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
