Camping in the Mountains:

Do Something Good

Did you ever go to summer camp growing up? I didn’t go to a sleep away came, but I went every year to a theater summer academy. I absolutely loved it there and couldn’t wait to fill out the registration form and return it as soon as we got it in the mail (back when you had to mail your form back in). When I got a little too old to attend as a student, I then volunteered as an intern during the summer.

Why am I talking about this at the end of February? Well, I’m still friends with some of the people who work at the academy and they were posting the other day about registration for the summer opening! I blew my mind to think that’s its already time to start planning that…but it’s never too early I guess? Anyways, inspired by that, I thought that for today’s Something Good, it would be fun to think back to your favorite summer camp. Honor it by talking about how the camp helped you or making a donation to the organization. You’d be surprised how much personal stories actually mean to nonprofit organizations (which your camp probably was), so share your story today!
