Before getting into today’s post, I need to apologize. It was SO WINDY while I was taking these pictures, I was afraid that my camera was going to fall over. The result: 97% of the pictures I took were future blogger bloopers.

Back to the real post: spring trends. I was having a seriously hard time picking which trend I wanted to talk about today. Scalloped edges, florals (cause duh), bright colors, block heels, and strappy flats. How could I choose? Well, luckily outfit posts for spring get to go on for a while, so today I decided to focus on what I thought might have been the most surprising this year: black and white!

I know, I was surprised when I heard about that too. Black and white?! Sweet. What makes it even better is its all about black and white patterns too: florals, stripes, dots, everything! 

It’s still a little chilly around these parts (though it’s warming up!), so I decided that for today I was going to layer a black sweater over my striped dress. It was a fun way to find a new way to wear this dress and I have a new outfit for work now!

Even better? Every piece in this outfit was under $75. #Winning.

I have to be honest though, I might wait for my legs to get a little more sun before I go completely bare legged. I’ll be the first to say it, my legs are basically the same shade of white as my dress.
