Do Something Good
If you’re in the book world, this announcement is a pretty big deal! Arthur Levine is leaving scholastic to launch his own imprint! No idea who Levine is? That’s okay, you definitley know what he’s done in the book world. Levine is the man responsible for bringing Harry Potter to the United States. That’s in addition to the 300+ other titles he’s brought to young readers.
Arthur Levine’s new publishing company sounds like it’s going to be amazing though. He’s focusing on diverse authors with a mix of 75% minority authors, including people of color, indigenous people, and LGBTQ people. Also, he already has plans in the works to launch TWENTY titles in the fall of 2020. This is a huge announcement in the book world and I can’t wait to see the titles he puts out!
