I’m back in the game! After the slow reading that was last month, I feel like I’m a little back in the game. I finished two different books that had been half read that I wanted to finish and I zoomed through a handful of other books. It honestly felt great!

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert
This was the third book in the Brown Sisters series, but in my opinion, it was by far the best! Eve Brown is so lovable, you just want to be best friends with her. I couldn’t get enough of her story and I would love more stories about her
My Contrary Mary by Cynthia Hand

The Cousins by Karen M. McManus
Karen McManus writes the best YA thrillers that leave you sitting at the end of the book going “what just happened to me?” This book kept me engrossed the entire time because I quite simply couldn’t guess the twist. I had guesses, but I didn’t know. Well, I was wrong, but I feel like I didn’t have as much as a “wtf” reaction to this book as her other books.
Summertime Guests by Wendy Francis

Faker by Sarah Smith
I needed a good mental break from everything I was reading and this contemporary romance came to me at the perfect time. It was fun, adorable and I loved the main character.
Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy
Well, this book was heavy. My book club picked it for our March read and it’s truthfully a book I would have never picked on my own. But it was so good and so beautifully written. The only thing I would say is that it was a little heavier than what I needed when I read it. But it’s still a great read and I would recommend picking it up.
Outlawed by Anna North
Originally I had no real desire to pick up this book….but then I did anyways. I’m glad I did though, because I completely enjoyed it. It was such a great read and even if you’re not interested in “cowboy” stories, you’ll still enjoy it!
Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey
I not-so-secretly love listening to celebrity memoirs on audiobook. It’s like they’re reading their life story to you. This one was no exception! Before this book I knew basically nothing about Matthew McConaughey’s life. I just knew his movies and that was it. But oh my gosh. His life is fascinating! He’s definitely a little crazy, but in the most fascinating way. I highly recommend this read and if you’re willing to do audio, do it on audio!
Meet You in the Middle by Devon Daniels
I loved this book and I’m already ready for it to be a re-read book for me. Even if you aren’t a DC or political person, trust me, you’re going to love it. It’s so good and the love story is so wonderful. Just go read it, please!
These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong
How do I keep accidentally reading horror stories? I went into this knowing it was a 1920s Chinese Romeo and Juliet and I was completely on board. And then it somehow turned into a horror novel within the first chapter. So I had a hard time with this book. I really loved the writing and the story as a whole, but the actually “horror” scenes were a little too graphic for me sometimes.
However, the book ended on a cliffhanger and the story was too good, so yes, I WILL read the sequel and speed read through the gross parts.
Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth
I was really looking forward to this book, but I think I was expecting something completely different from what it was. It wasn’t a bad novel by any means, but it was a thriller/horror/boarding school novel, with a early 20th century and contemporary twist. Have I thoroughly confused you? Just read the description. I just don’t think this book was my cup of tea. Or it just wasn’t what I was looking for right now.
