The Sequin Striped Tee

I’m biting my tongue a little bit right now. Why? well, part way through November I thought “man, I really want to go to some holiday parties. Dressing up and going to them sound like so much fun.”

Why am I biting my tongue now? Well, all of a sudden I had a handful to go to and they were fun, a lot of fun actually. But….I forgot that with the limited window of time for holiday parties, they were all going to be around the same few days.

Aka, Dana spent a lot of time running all over DC. Again, the parties were fun and I’m so happy that I got to see friends, reconnect with people who I haven’t gotten to see in a while (and make plans to hang out again soon!), and wear this sequin striped tee.

But now that those parties are coming to a close, I have something I get to be even more excited about: my staycation!

My office is going to be closed for a week so I decided that instead of traveling during that time, I was going to stay in DC and relax.

What do I have planned? Well, in addition to working at Pure Barre, I have a list of tv shows I want to catch up on, DIYs around the apartment, recipes I want to try, and just general lounging around.

Oh! And I’m also going to hit up some of the DC spots that I haven’t gotten to go to yet. Like the new Momofuku, the reopened Renwick, and the holiday trains at the botanical garden.

Now that I’m looking over this list, it seems like a lot….but it’s not really. Plus, I’ve also planned plenty of one on one time with my couch and hulu/netflix account.

Just four days of work stand between me and my wonderful staycation and I can’t wait!
