Anyone else need to take a mini break from all the holiday talk? Personally, I could use one, so I thought it would be fun today to take a few minutes and talk about something else. In this case, the fact that I’m embracing another new trend this year! Ready for it: wedge sneakers.

Wedge Sneakers & Leather Leggings This Winter

Faux leather leggings are nothing new for me. I’ve loved my past pairs and they’re such a fun way to be comfortable, but a look a little more dressed up. But these sneakers were definitely going out of my comfort zone.

Fun Sneakers

I’ve always been a fan of fun sneakers, whether it was my gingham sneakers or my rifle paper tennis shoes. But adding a wedge to a sneaker? I never thought I would get into it. At all. In fact, I wasn’t even interested in these shoes when they first came out. I skipped right over them during the Nordstrom sale and kept scrolling.

But then I was over at my friend Mary Claire’s house helping her get ready for a vacation and I spotted the shoes in her closet. I was instantly intrigued and a little bit in love. When I tried them on, that was it, I needed them. Not only were they comfortable, but they looked good too! Who would of thought!

Now, I was worried that they might be a little too high or feel like an ankle twister shoe, but that’s not it at all! The wedge isn’t actually too bad and the sides go up high enough that you still feel a little bit tucked in.

Other Ways to Wear a Wedge Sneaker

Jeans

Okay, yes, this is the most obvious answer. But I wore this with just a simple jeans and sweater and it was perfect. I was super comfortable and it looked great.

Dresses

Wouldn’t this look cute with a sweater dress? I may have to wear a pair of tights because it’s still the winter, but hey, it would look super cute.

Alright, how else should I wear these shoes? I would love some suggestions!
