Valpak in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Note: This post is sponsored by Valpak, but as always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Something Good.

Throughout the year, I promote different charities, companies, and causes. They vary, but every October, I focus on breast cancer awareness. After all, it is breast cancer awareness month. But really, we should be promoting breast cancer awareness all year long. It’s not something that’s limited to the month of October.

That’s why I was excited when Valpak invited me to join them in participating in Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure in Washington, DC on September 8th and learn more about Valpak in the Fight Against Breast Cancer. I use to participate in the race on Mother’s Day when I lived in Pittsburgh, but I haven’t participated since I moved to DC.

So why is Valpak joining me in supporting the Race for the Cure? Valpak shares the vision of Susan G. Komen for a world without breast cancer. They’ve developed the partnership to support the women and men who have or will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and their loved ones and families. By the end of 2018, Valpak will have donated at least $50,000 to Komen and will encourage donations and support activations through local and corporate partners.

In October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), Valpak will turn its Blue Envelope pink and also raise local awareness within the communities that they serve and funds in support of the fight to end breast cancer.

I’m excited to join the Valpak team and the Race for the Cure in Washington, DC. Since it’s not until September 8th, you still have plenty of time to sign up, set, a fundraising goal, and hit it!

How do you get involved?

First, head over to Valpak’s page. Learn more about Valpak in the Fight Against Breast Cancer. See how you can donate and learn how far just $5 can go. Then, learn the stats, they’re important.

Finally, get involved! Find your local affiliate and sign up for a race! If you don’t want to run, that’s fine. I plan on walking and you totally can too. All that’s important is that you get involved.

Let me know if you plan on participating in DC or in your city!
