Decorating Your Home with Uncommon Goods

Note: Today’s post is sponsored by UncommonGoods, but as always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Something Good!

Does anyone else feel like decorating their house (or apartment) never ends? I swear, as soon as I think I’ve finished one room, I’m ready to go back and switch up the other room. Which can be a bit ridiculous since I live in a one bedroom apartment. I also don’t have a lot of money to spend, so I need to keep my redecorating to a minimum. I’ve found that instead of buying larger purchases, I can focus on adding little (quirky) touches around my apartment and then move some of the furniture around to make it feel like a new space.

One of the first places I like to look for those fun home items is UncommonGoods. If you haven’t heard of them before, UncommonGoods is a retailer that features unique jewelry, designer decor, tabletop items, and handcrafted gifts. In fact, 50% of their products are hand made and UncommonGoods makes it their mission to make sure that they support and provide a platform for artists and designers.

Lately, I’ve been looking for a new doormat. Isn’t that such a boring item? But I’ve been having problems with bringing dirt into my apartment when I come inside from off of my porch. I’m over it, so a doormat is necessary.

Off to UncommonGoods it was! While I was browsing through their website, I finally found some doormats that were actually pretty fun and just the level of quirk that I needed. When I found this llama one though, I knew it had to be mine. I love llamas and I thought this would fit perfectly with my space. Which it does! After seeing how well it fits in, I think I may need to also pick up some of their garden pieces to decorate my porch too.

My other favorite part about shopping at UncommonGood? Because UncommonGoods is independently owned, they want to use that freedom to support all of the causes they believe in and impact the world in a positive way. Every time someone shops there, they donate $1 to the nonprofit of the shopper’s choice! Since starting this practice 12 years ago, UncommonGoods has donated over $1 million to charities about the world.

Next time you looking for pieces for your home (or a fun gift for someone), I highly suggest that you check out UncommonGoods first. If you do, let me know what you get!
