The Striped Popover

My heart is so full after this weekend. I got to go pumpkin picking, spend time with friends, and get so much cleaning done.

The weather in DC has also been so weird, but the fact that I’m finally able to wear jeans totally makes up for it. It’s funny actually that I love jeans so much now since as my mom would happily tell you, I HATED wearing jeans when I was younger. Seriously, she could not get me into a pair until I was in middle school and even then it was a struggle. The next obstacle I’ve been facing now with wearing jeans? Ripped jeans. When I got these jeans, her first question to me was “How much did you pay for a pair of holes in your jeans?” My response? “$16.”

I kind of love them though. They definitely help with dressing down some of my outfits and giving them a more relaxed vibe.  Like with this striped popover. I’ve been hunting down a popover with vertical stripes for quite some time (a good striped popover is oddly hard to find). In case you’re curious, I wanted a popover over a regular button down because popovers are much easier to tuck in without getting that annoying bump from the buttons.Anyways, moral of this rambling story? Ripped jeans relax a look and a popover (preferably a striped popover) is easier to tuck in.Since it seems to be a “controversial” topic, what are your thoughts on ripped jeans?Photography by Rosa
