The New Years Eve Dress

Oh this New years Eve dress. This outfit already has a handful of history behind it…and it still hasn’t been worn outside my apartment.

Why?

Dress: Same, Similar / Shoes: Similar, Similar / Clutch: Similar, Similar / Necklace: Similar, Similar
Dress: SameSimilar / Shoes: SimilarSimilar / Clutch: SimilarSimilar / Necklace: SimilarSimilar
Well I first spotted this dress on the J.Crew Factory website a year ago and fell in love with it. I had a feeling I was going to be going to an actual NYE party that year, so once it went on sale, I jumped. But then….the fit was a little off. No harm, I ordered a different size and it was a win. Almost. I ended up having to go get it tailored.

Then the hunt for the shoes was on.

I was on the hunt for this adorable Nine West pair that I had spotted, but I wasn’t going to pay $90 for them. I was patiently waiting for a sale and while that happened….they sold out. Everywhere. I looked all over the internet to no avail. Eventually I gave up and found this adorable navy pair at JC Penny of all places! Win win.

The week before New Years Eve arrived and…I was sick.

Like bad cold, don’t want to leave bed at all sick. I did everything I could to get better, but at the end, no dice. New Years Eve was spent in bed and the dress unworn.
I sadly still haven’t had anywhere since to wear it, so now it’s just sitting in my closet waiting for an event. Moral of this story, if anyone wants to bring me to a nice party, I have a dress.

So send me that invite asap.
