TWO SENTENCE SUMMARY
“Bake Week” has started filming it’s 10th season at Betsy Martin’s crumbling mansion in Vermont. But within a day, a contestant has been murdered, bakes are being sabotaged and no one knows what to expect next.
WHAT I LIKED MOST AND WHAT FRUSTRATED ME
I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for books around baking, especially when it’s “British Baking Show” themed. Combine that with a murder mystery and this is basically the perfect book for me. There are twists, turns, and descriptions of delicious baked good.
I’m trying to think of something that frustrated me and I’m really coming up short. The multiple POVs did throw me off at first, but I quickly got use to it and flew through the book.

Fans of mysteries and baking shows.

BACKLIST BUMP
Battle Royal by Lucy Parker is another great baking show novel, though this one is a romance, not a mystery. A Good Day to Pie by Misha Popp has a similar plot line to The Golden Spoon, but a little more whimsical.
