I feel like Anne and I have been struggle-bussing for the last few months when we had to come up with what pieces we were going to style. It’s hard to be inspired under quarantine! This dress came easily though. After all, I finally decided to buy it after seeing how good it looked on Anne!.

The Tank Dress

What I love about this tank dress is it’s super simple, so it’s easy to match with anything. Aka, it goes with basically everything in my closet. It’s also super comfortable, which is really just an added bonus to any dress.

How I styled it

For styling my dress today, I went super simple. It was too hot in D.C. to even think of layering, so I threw that idea completely out the window. Instead, I decided to have fun with accessories.

Earrings

In the past, when I had fun with accessories, it meant necklaces or rings. But I don’t like having things around my neck in the summer and I’ve been washing my hands too much this year to justify rings. Lucky for me, my friend Emylee has started designing the MOST AMAZING clay earrings. They’re super lightweight (which is exactly what I need), so I’ve been using those to dress up my outfit. Thanks to her, I’ve amassed a little collection of fun, dangle-y earrings. These add a fun pop of color to this outfit and make it look a little more dressy.

Also, just an FYI, earrings like these look GREAT on work zoom calls.

Shoes

I was about to slip on a pair of my boring tan sandals, but then I realized, why should I do that? It’s always leopard season, since leopard is basically a neutral. These just look so much more fun with this outfit.

Purse

I also had to obviously grab a purse since I have to carry a package of Clorox wipes every time I leave the house now. I can’t stick those in my pocket!

Now go check out Anne’s post and see how she styled her dress!
