Shopping Reviews, Vol. 3

It’s time for another round of shopping reviews! A few items are still trickling in from my April orders (plus one or two May orders), so a few more reviews are coming your way! I decided that I’m going to try to space them out though so you don’t have ridiculously long posts to read through.

HalogenĀ® Welt Pocket Pencil Skirt (Yellow & Pink): Holy tight skirt! I ordered my normal size from Halogen pencil skirts, but I must have gotten a smaller cut, cause oh boy this was tighter than normal. I would have debated exchanging this for a looser cut, but I wasn’t too thrilled with the colors. I was hoping it was going to be a paler pink and yellow, but the yellow was closer to an orange color and the pink was closer to a hot pink.
Verdict: Return
Lush Blouson Chiffon Skater Dress (Pink): I’ve been looking for a pink halter dress, but I just wasn’t in love with this one. The dress did fit well, but something was missing. Also, the cinched waist was a little more exposed than I wanted it to be.
Verdict: Return
Lou & Grey Perforated Tee Dress (in black and grey): Love. Love. Love. I ordered the black dress first and as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was a keeper. The only concern I had was, “will I still want to wear black when it gets hotter? I wish they had this in another color.” Well, color me lucky because they did! As soon as the grey one went on sale, I snapped it up!
Verdict: Keep and Keep
J.Crew Factory Petite Pleated Midi Skirt: Helloooooooooo hips. I wanted to give midis a try, but this was not the right one. The pleats drew too much emphasis to my hips and it just wasn’t going to work. For someone with a straighter body type though, this skirt could work really well.
Verdict: Return.
