Shopping Reviews, Vol. 14

If there’s anything that this post has taught me…it’s that I need a new mirror. Anyone have any suggestions? And on that note, it’s time to review some clothes!
Adam Lippes for Target Sherpa Half Zip Pullover plaid
I knew this was going to be big, but the second I put it on, it was so soft and comfortable that I had no desire to take it off. In addition to the outer fleece, there’s also an inner mesh lining for breath-ability. I probably won’t wear it outside of my apartment, but it’s perfect for lounging.
Verdict: Keep

J.Crew Factory Classic Button Down Shirt in Flannel, plaid
I wanted to be in love with this shirt, but I just wasn’t. The shoulders felt like they fit a little funny and I didn’t love the color as much as I hoped.
Verdict: Return

J.Crew Factory zip-pocket wool mini skirt
J.Crew Factory zip-pocket wool mini skirt (Size 0)
This skirt. It fit perfectly and it has pockets! Plus the color will go with basically everything I own. I knew this skirt was a winner when I pulled it out the next day to wear to work. Additionally, the wool helped for a little extra warmth, but wasn’t overbearing.
Verdict: Keep

J.Crew Factory infinity shirt, button up white shirt
J.Crew Factory infinity shirt (XS)
So, um., this shirt was a little too big. As soon as I pulled it out of the bag, I could tell. Even though it wasn’t labeled as a tunic, it definitely had a tunic-like feel to it. Had I been looking for a tunic shirt, this would have been a good match, but that wasn’t the case.
Verdict: Return

loft leopard jaquard coat
Loft Leopard Jaquard Coat (XSP)
Another wool piece of clothing that I fell in love with. This jacket was warm, will block the win, and is perfect for a more dressed up look. I was a little nervous that a patterned coat wouldn’t work well but the leopard print is subtle enough that it wouldn’t overwhelm my smaller frame.
Verdict: Keep

Old Navy Funnel Neck-Tunic, quilted jacket
Left: Old Navy Quilted Jacket (XS)
This jacket was much thinner than I expected. I was planing on keeping it and using it as a layering piece, but when I found my H&M jacket (which was heavier), I knew that was a much better option.
Verdict: Return
Right: Old Navy Funnel Neck-Tunic (XSP)
I’m in love with this top. Since it’s made out of terry cloth, the lining is incredibly soft and this will be a perfect layering piece for going to and from pure barre in the winter. Additionally, since it has raglan sleeves, I was able to buy in my correct size and not one size up because of my shoulders. I actually ended up ordering a second version of this top so I have one to wear in between washes.
Verdict: Keep and ordered a second!
Sperry Saltwater Plaid Booties, duck boots
Sperry Saltwater Plaid Boots (Size 6)
I have a slight obsession with duck boots. In fact one of my first fashion related posts for this blog was about duck boots. Since my favorite pair of those boots is long gone, I decided it was finally time to get a replacement pair. The only downside to these boots is that unlike LL Bean boots (which I also own and love) the tongue of the boot is not connected to the sides, so I’m a little nervous about water seeping in.  However, I love these so I’m going to hold on to them and see. I’ll report back on my findings.
Verdict: Keep
