Talk about a hero of the week! If you haven’t read this story yet, it’s definitely a must. This shoemaker in the West Bank was able to start the only mask factory over night.
Hero of The Week: The Shoemaker in the West Bank
So what happened exactly? Well Amjad Zaghir (the shoemaker in the West Bank), realized that the West Bank was going to quickly run out of face masks two days after the outbreak in Bethlehem. He thought he may be able to make masks out of the material he could use in shoemaking. Unfortunately, after consulting with a pharmacist, realized that would not work.
Zaghir ended up not only finding a solution, continuing make more masks, and hiring workers to help with creating the supply. His story is truly amazing and you need to head over to this article to read more.
