Saturday’s Something Good: Moderna Housewares

Note: This post was sponsored by Moderna Housewares, but as always all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Something Good!

I mentioned a few posts back that I was getting excited for my upcoming staycation and all of the TV that I was planning on watching. Well in addition to watching all of the things, I’m also looking forward to cooking and baking all of the things! While I have a long list of things that I’m looking to make, one area that I really want to tackle is thai cuisine.

I absolutely love thai food, but the idea of cooking it terrifies me. Why? Well, I’m not really sure. I can make dumplings and fried rice without batting an eye now (thank you Lenny!), but making my own pad see ew? Crazy!

wok, moderna housewares

Moderna must have realized that this was a fear I was ready to conquer because when they reached out to me about collaboration, one of the products they wanted me to sample was a wok! Now that I have the wok, I have no excuse to avoid this fear.

One of the things I love about this wok is that it’s extremely lightweight. I have a cast iron pan that I love, but it’s so darn heavy! This one is easy to pick up and move around, which makes storing it so much better. Also, the pan has a nonstick coating!! Have you ever tried cooking in pans where everything sticks to the bottom and you’re basically left with half of the food you started with because the rest of it won’t leave the pan? It’s actually the worst. Nonstick pans are actually my favorite (I still use olive oil or cooking spray though to be extra careful!).

This pan has already been fun to cook with and I can’t wait to share some of the thing I’ve already made in it with you (most likely on snapchat, username danaerinw).
What have you been cooking lately? Have any suggestions of good wok recipes?
