Do Something Good

In an effort to not overwhelm myself or you with a crazy editorial calendar, I decided that I would share a new gift that gives back in today’s post!

Today’s gift may not be as fun, but it’s definitely practical. Which truthfully, as I’m getting older, I find myself leaning more towards the more practical gifts anyways. I’d rather be given some of the more useful gifts that I might already buy myself than something that may just lie around my house. (That being said, I also love aesthetically pleasing things, which aren’t always useful.)

So what’s today’s gift? It’s a Quip! It’s a subscription based electronic tooth brush. I’ve been using mine for almost a year now, and I have to say, it’s a dream. It sends you a new tooth brush head and a tube a tooth paste every three months so you don’t even have to think about when you need to replace your brush head. Plus when you brush, it has an automatic time, so it pluses every 30 seconds so you know to focus on the four different quadrants of your mouth.

I have two real favorite parts of it though: first, it’s portable. It comes with it’s own carrying case that can also stick to the mirror. So when I’m home, it’s attached to my mirror and when I go on vacation, I pull the case off of the mirror, stick the tooth brush in, and we’re good to go. Second, it’s battery powered. I don’t need to deal with anymore annoying cords or be worried about finding an outlet to charge my toothbrush on vacation. Plus, you get a new battery with every new toothbrush head, so you don’t even need to battery shop.

So how does a Quip give back? Well, for a limited time, for every purchase that is made of the special all black, metal tooth brush, Quip will make a donation of $5 ADA Foundation, up to $250,000. This donation will help provide oral care access and education to disadvantaged families in collaboration with the ADA Foundation. Additionally, they also have a special edition (Red) metal toothbrush. The proceeds of which will help support (PRODUCT) Red.

If you feel weird buying a toothbrush as a gift for someone, buy it for yourself! I’ve been using an electric toothbrush for years, but this is the best one I’ve ever had.

(Also, none of the above is sponsored. I bought and used the toothbrush on my own. I was also just really excited to see they had a giving component and I wanted to share it.)
