Note: Today’s post was updated and republished on 9/24/25 to include new products and contains affiliate links about Quince Activewear. Thank you to Quince for providing the items for today’s review post. As always, all opinions are my own.
I have wanted to try out Quince ever since I heard about it. A company that offer luxury clothing and goods without the luxury price? I’m in. Quince offers pieces that are classic and perfect building blocks for any wardrobe and I have to stop myself from drooling whenever I look at the items there. But, I still haven’t tried their clothes. I’ve ordered bedding from Quince before, but I have no idea why I haven’t ordered the bags, clothing, or jewelry that they offer. This set me up perfectly though, when Quince approached me and wanted me to try out some of their newer activewear pieces. They didn’t even have to ask twice before I said yes!
If it’s your first time reading one of my shopping reviews (I know I haven’t done one in a while), I do want to let you know that I’m 5″0′ and I typically wear an XS on top and S on the bottom. Hopefully this can help you in figuring out sizing for the brand.
Reviews: Quince Activewear
After working in the fitness industry for manyyears, I’ve become very picky about what I wear for working out. I’ve tried so many brands that I could write paragraphs about what to avoid and who to shop from. So getting to try new to me activewear that’s at a really good price point? I’m in.
Quince Power-Up Long Line Strappy Sports Bra, Deep Navy, Size S
Have you ever tried to put on a sports bra after having a baby? It’s a humbling thing, that’s for sure.
Lucky for me, I felt REALLY GOOD putting this sports bra on. It’s neckline is high enough that I don’t feel like my chest is falling out and I feel very supported. I also love that this sports bra includes cups (thank god!). I may have been able to go cup-less pre-baby, but it’s not really an option now.
Finally, I love the criss-crossing straps in the back. Normally when you find one with fun straps, it’s hard to put on and the bra never provides that much support. That isn’t the case with this sports bra. First, the straps were super easy to navigate and slide on. Second, by having a wider band in back, it helps to provide the extra support I need, but still allow me to have the fun strap details.
Verdict: Keep (and I’ll most likely buy more in the future with my own money.
Quince Court Sport Pleated Tennis Skirt, Big Sur Green, Size S
Next up, the tennis skirt (that’s actually a skort)!
I’ve gotten really into activewear skorts in the past two years. I don’t necessarily wear them for a workout, but I love putting them on for long walks and when I’m running around with the baby, but still want to look cute.
As soon as I put on this skort, I knew it was a keeper. It’s high waisted (which is a must for me with workout clothes), but it isn’t too short. I also love the pleats and how it gives a little extra movement to the skort. It truly feels like I’m just wearing regular shorts and I don’t feel constricted at all.
Finally, the shorts of the skort has pockets! For me, this is a must and I’m glad that they’re included.
Verdict: Keep and probably buying another one with my own money soon.
Note: From this point forward is the original post from 2023. BUT, the items are still available and I still wear all of them (yes, they are still in great condition).
Quince Ultra-Form Performance Legging, Black, Size S, $39.90
Let’s talk about the leggings. I know that I could have chosen a more fun color to start with, but black is the building block in any wardrobe. Black leggings are a good way to compare between brands.
I was pretty impressed with these leggings. Right out of the bag they were super soft and easy to slide into. They also passed my hand test. What’s that test? Well, to figure out how see-through leggings are, I stick my hand in the fabric and pull it up. If I can see my spread out fingers, it’s a no go. It also means that your underwear will show through the leggings.
Additionally, I felt supported, but not constricted with these leggings. They weren’t super tight, but I did feel like all of the wobbly bits (yes, I’ve gone British) were held in.
Finally, I love a high rise legging and these hit the perfect point.
Would I buy these on my own? YES.
Quince Flowknit Ultra-Soft Performance Tee, Navy, Size XS
Next up, the performance tee! When I’m working out at home, I typically only wear a sports bra. However, when I’m going for walks, I prefer a tee. It helps keep me covered from the sun and since I’m super pale, that’s really important to me.
The first thing that I noticed and really liked about the top is that it didn’t feel like the typical spandex workout tops. It just felt like a really soft and stretchy, but breathable tee. It’ll be great in the hotter DC weather, but also work well throughout the spring.
In terms of the length, I would personally prefer it be a touch longer. If I’m wearing leggings, I like to have my butt covered, but that’s a personal preference. This length will be good with shorts though, so it evens out. I think that I would also like it if the shirt was a little less fitted, but I knew that it was fitted when I ordered it. Again, if I wanted to fix the length and fit, I could just go up a size.
Quince Ultra-Soft Active Dress, Navy, Size XS
I’ve been looking for a great activewear dress since last summer. I took too long to jump on the bandwagon and by the time I realized how great they were, all the good ones were sold out. This summer, I’m not letting that happen. Quince’s performance dress was probably the first item I picked out and I’m glad I did. This dress was true to size and slid on so easily. I always worry about dress straps and if they’ll be too loose or long, but these ones were a great length. The top is cut a little lower than I would normally go for for athletic wear, but if you’re a little taller, it probably wouldn’t be too bad.
Underneath the dress, there’s a full body unitard (which I’m a big fan of) that connects to a pair of spandex shorts. The shorts even have a side pocket, which is absolutely key. Now, I will say, while there is a lining, I wouldn’t mind more support in the chest. Or some sort of padding? But it won’t be hard to find something to wear under my dress to help me out there.
After trying out these Quince activewear pieces, I’m firmly sold on the brand. I’m already plotting out what I’m going to buy there next.
