I love how I say that I haven’t shopped at Loft in a while and now I feel like I’ve checked out the site multiple times in the last few weeks! I don’t know what happened, but the Loft spring pieces are amazing! The styles are so cute and I just want to bring everything home with me. Luckily, I listened to my budget and didn’t.

Lou & Grey Conscious Cotton Heart Patch Sweatshirt, XS, Grey Pearl Heather

I have been swooning (yes swooning) over how cute this sweatshirt is for weeks, so when the price finally dropped below $30, I pounced. It’s just as soft and cozy as you would expect. The material is a little less sweatshirt material, by that I mean that it’s a little thinner and the inside feels a little closer to terry cloth than other sweatshirts I’ve had. But none of that is in a bad way. It all adds to the cozy.

Verdict: Keep (especially since I’ve already worn it!)

Loft Striped Crossover Back Mixed Media Sweater, XS, White

I was actually in the process of doing an in store return when I saw this sweater hanging on the rack nearby. The second it caught my eye, I walked over to grab it and ask if it was on sale or not. The salesgirl started to laugh and told me that I was apparently the second girl to do that. But wouldn’t you?! I love a white sweater and blue stripes are my jam. I’m also a fan of anything with an open back. Check, check check. However, there are two downsides to this sweater. First, the front is a little thin, and could potentially be more see through than some people would like. I think that with a nude bra, it wouldn’t be too bad. Second, while the front fit, the back seemed to be a bit oversized? The picture doesn’t show it as well as I wanted it to, but it gaped open more than I wanted to.

My solution? They have this top in an extra petite on the site and a navy. I’m going to get both in smaller sizes and compare both in terms of sizing, gaping, and see-through-ness to see what the potential solutions might be.

Verdict: TBD

DC woman blogger wearing Loft Leopard Print Sweater

Loft Leopard Print Sweater, XXS, Arabian Sand

After seeing how good Heather looks in leopard tops, I had to try it myself! This top was a little problematic though. But not in the way I thought. I ordered an xxs because that was the only size available and I was curious. It actually fit with no problem, but that wasn’t the problem.

First, the top was way more brown than I expected. I thought it would be a little more black/brown, but in person, this top is completely shades of brown (it’s a little hard to tell in the picture). Second, I was expecting more of a crewneck top. This top has a bit of a round neck, which I’m just meh about. Finally, my boyfriend HATES this top. Now, I’m not one to normally let someone else completely dictate my wardrobe, but if I’m already on the fence about an item and someone close to me has that strong of an opinion about it, that can seal the deal.

Verdict: Return.

DC woman blogger wearing Loft Dotted Mixed Media Split Neck Shell

Loft Dotted Mixed Media Split Neck Shell, XS, White

This top was actually the reason I started looking into making a purchase in the first place! I’ve been poking around, looking for a new polka-dot top and I think I have a winner! I love the little polka-dot details. Also, that the top is more sleeveless than a tank top, so I can wear it in the office without a cardigan. I know that the shell is a little sheer, but I tested it tucked in and you can’t really tell once the tank is tucked in. My only ugh about this tank (and it’s an issue with most loft tanks) is that they used a different, jersey like material for the back. I’ve never understood why they do this, so if someone could explain this, that would be great.

Verdict: Keep

DC woman blogger wearing Loft Herringbone Knit Modern Blazer

Loft Herringbone Knit Modern Blazer, Size: 0, Navy/White

I know I was looking for some new jackets for work, but this one felt a little too button up for me. Or maybe a little too “hello professor.” Either way, it wasn’t a great fit. However, the fit was great. The length was perfect and it hit my shoulders exactly. The only issue was that the sleeves may have been a tad too long.

Verdict: Return

DC woman blogger wearing Loft Petite Tie Waist Maxi Dress

Loft Petite Tie Waist Maxi Dress, XS Petite, Pure Sapphire

I love maxis and I have no idea why I don’t wear them more. They’re like wearing pajamas. They’re just so comfortable and since they’re long, they look fairly modest too. This one was cute and it was the perfect length. I even loved the edition of the waist tie and the fact that it had side slits so you could easily walk. However, I wasn’t in love with it and decided I would rather put my money elsewhere.

Verdict: Return

DC woman blogger wearing Loft Petite Textured Stripe Tie Waist Flare Dress

Loft Petite Textured Stripe Tie Waist Flare Dress, 0 Petite, Forever Navy

Another cute dress that she just didn’t love, a memoir. Seriously though. The dress fit well, the fabric was comfortable, and it looked super cute. But I didn’t love it. I stared at it and left like I could do better. Or at least wanted to spend money on something I loved more.

Well that’s it for this shopping reviews! I’ll let you all know how it goes with the two sweaters!
