I went over budget this month. I went over budget by $93 this month. But you know what? I’m not mad about it. Why? Well for a few reasons.

First, I’ve already worn almost every single item I’ve purchased from this budget. In fact, many of these items I’ve worn multiple times since I’ve purchased them. So I know that they were worth it and they’ve already gotten their money’s worth.

Second, I actually cleaned out some of my closet. I talked about how I didn’t think I could do this last month because I was stuck in a weird clothing limbo. It turns out I wasn’t in as much of a limbo as I thought I was. There were plenty of items that I knew I wasn’t going to wear anymore that I could pull out. There were also enough things with tags on them that definitely needed to go. (So yes, my poshmark is definitely back up and running.) My closet is still a little tight, but being able to pull out those pieces that were staring at me felt great.

Finally, I also pulled a bunch of items out to return that had just been sitting there. I’m normally so good about this, but quarantine has made me a little lazy (whoops). These were also things that had been in some of my earlier budgets because I thought I was going to keep and wear them….but then I never did. They were luckily all Nordstrom items with the tags still on, so I can send them back (thank you super kind return policies).

That’s it for June, so now on to July!
