Anne and I are back! For our Blogger Style Two Ways Post this month, we wanted to share with you how you could style white jeans in the winter. I know a lot of people think that it’s a little taboo to wear white after Labor Day, but I personally think that rule is silly. Personally, I wear white year round and I love wearing my white jeans. So I’m excited to share with you how you can style white during the winter. Then, make sure to head over to Anne’s post to see how she styled her white jeans!

How To Wear White Jeans In Winter

Check The Weather (Save Your Pants for the Dry Days!)

Yes, you should be doing this every day, but you should especially be doing this on the days when you’re going to wear white jeans during the winter. Why? Well, white jeans are not for the days when it’s going to be rainy, snow, wet, slushy, or just overall gross. Days when there’s a chance of splashing or getting those pants wet from the the weather? No good. All I can imagine are the terrible stains. It’s a nightmare that you just want to avoid.

Wear Shoes that Keep Your Pants Off of the Ground

Remember what I said about slush and mud? Yeah, you don’t want that getting on the bottom of your white jeans. It’ll be a pain to clean. Instead, aim for an ankle boot where it’ll keep you off the ground. Or even better, a knee high boot where you jeans are tucked in. Bonus points if your shoes are waterproof.

Also, something I would like to address, you may think I’m being a hypocrite in these pictures by wearing mules, but I’m actually not. If you’ll notice, since I’m wearing skinny jeans (actually, they’re jeggings), they’re actually tapered at my ankle, so by design, they’ll stay off of the ground. Plus, we were having one of those rare 50 degrees days in January, so they felt like a necessary celebration.

Pick Your Colors Carefully

Personally, I think that if you’re going to wear white in the winter, you have to be really careful with what colors you’re going to pair with it. You either need to go with darker, muted colors or primary colors. But stay away from those bright pinks and greens. There’s nothing wrong with those colors, but they’re really better suited for the spring and summer months with white. If you’re confused about which colors, google Lilly Pulitzer patterns. If it appears in one of those patterns, it’s better suited for summer.

The colors you do want to aim for? Think of fall colors! Burgundy, hunter green, navy, or mustard. All of them are amazing options. If you want to go a little brighter? Bright red or cobalt blue are also great options.

Neutrals Are Always a Great Default

Moving on from the bright colors, if you’re still stuck in trying to figure out what colors to wear with white during the winter, you’re in luck. You can really win, by just pairing neutrals and white during the winter to look amazing. I don’t know what it is about tans and blacks paired with white, but they just look perfect in the winter.

You Can Never Go Wrong With a Sweater

It doesn’t matter if it’s over-sized or a fitted crew, a cozy sweater, it’ll look good with white denim, trust me. It’s also the perfect look for winter. Plus, you could easily work this outfit into your wardrobe once a week, just wear white skinnies and boots, then swap out the sweaters! Or you could do high waist white skinny jeans with an open back sweater. That would be a super cute look for a date night!
