Besides having an amazing name, Dana is someone who’s wardrobe I always admire. I love looking through her posts and seeing how effortless she always pulls off current trends. Seriously, every outfit she wears looks amazing! Also, fun fact, though Dana is a native (and devoted) NYC resident, we actually met while she was living in the DC area!

When we last spoke, your job was ____, how has your role changed since (if it has)?
I was an Assistant Merchandiser at Perry Ellis, handling Woven Shirts. Now, I was promoted to Associate Merchandiser and handling Woven Shirts, Knit Tops/Bottoms, and Sweaters! It’s been a huge adjustment, but also really fun learning new product categories!

When you first started your job, how would you describe your style?

I was still in my “J.Crew everything” phase. Oops.

How would you say your style has changed?

I think working in the fashion industry has opened my eyes to new retailers, trends, fabrics, etc. I work with some of the most creative people in this industry and I take bits and pieces from them and incorporate it into my style!

Where do you shop for work attire now?

Nordstrom (they just have everything), Zara, Revolve, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, and J.Crew

What’s one thing you would still never wear to work?

Hmm. Anything super short that you’ll constantly have to pull down/wondering who is judging you. Not cool.
Finally, do you have a go-to outfit (or uniform) for those mornings that you’re too tired to think? What is it?
Luckily, my office is so casual, so on days I reeeeeally don’t want to get out of bed, I go for 1 of 2 looks (depending on weather): jeans, white t, blazer and heels OR a swing dress with sandals.
