Traveling

Up to my rooftop? After a month of back to back to back travel, I’m ready to just sit for a month. That being said, I would love to get to Philly to see a my friend’s one year old, visit some friends in Pittsburgh, and maybe go see a show or two in NYC. So who knows if I’ll go on a few other trips this summer.

Grilling

I would love to attempt to grill this summer! I’ve always wanted to try grilling, but I always get intimidated. We have one on the roof of my building, but I’ve been debating getting this mini one for my apartment instead. Baby steps!

Exploring

Did you check out my post on Monday? One of my goals is to explore DC more this summer! I feel like new places sprout up every day and there are still so many places I want to go. One year I had the goal of doing one artsy thing a week and I felt like it really helped me get back into the arts scene. I think I may bring that back this summer, but make it one artsy or exploring thing each week.

Planting

All of my fake plants! Ha! I’m serious though guys. I’m aware that I’m a plant killer and I’ve accepted it. Instead of deciding that it means that I can no longer have plants in my home, I’ve gone the exact opposite direction. I’ve been loading up on fake plants instead! They’re so much fun to decorate with and the only “up keep” they require is a quick dusting. It’s amazing.

Playing

Audiobooks non-stop! I can’t get enough of listening to them while I’m on the metro, walking around the city, or doing chores around my house. Plus, now that I have my wireless headphones, it’s like a whole new world of things I can get done while listening to books has been opened up to me. Some of the ones I’ve been listening to lately: The Power, The President is Missing, and Paper Princess (a smutty series perfect for the week when you just can’t think). PS If you want to get into audiobooks, I highly recommend signing up for your library’s account with libby for free audiobooks and an audible subscription for all of the ones that your library doesn’t have (you can get one free audiobook when you sign up)!

As always, linking up with Anne In Residence
