Gifts that Give Back: Everlane

Today’s Gifts that Give Back post is actually for one of my favorite brands: Everlane.

I was first introduced to Everlane when I was on the hunt for some good plain white tees (theirs are amazing). Lucky for me, Briana mentioned them on her blog and I’ve been in love ever since. My love for Everlane has only grown as I’ve learned more about them.
Why? Well, Everlane focuses on radical transparency. For them, that means that you always know the true cost of producing their products and the factories where their pieces are made. They work to make sure that they build strong relationships with the owners of their factories and they strive to make sure that their workers are working in the best conditions possible.
One of my favorite stories? Every year on Black Friday, Everlane chooses to take all of their profits and donate it back to their factories or the workers there. This year, Everlane took their Black Friday profits and used them to buy safe helmets for all of their workers at their Vietnam factory. Why? Well, their 8,000 employees in Ho Chi Minh City commute to work by moped everyday without safe helmets. When the Everlane team reached out and asked the factory what they needed, they said a safe helmet for every employee. On Black Friday, they raised $117,760 and were able to give every worker at their Vietnam factory a safe helmet.
Wouldn’t you want to support a company like that? They have a number of gifts this holiday season that would be perfect for anyone on your list! Check out some of my favorite pieces below!
