Gifts that Give Back: The Little Market

Sometimes I like to mix it up a little and today is that day. (Okay, let’s be serious, I rarely like to mix it up, but that’s not the point). While today’s Gifting with a Cause doesn’t give back directly to a 501c3, it’s still a pretty amazing shop!

Remember LC from Laguna Beach? No? Just me? Well anyways that’s fine, For those of us who do, LC has grown up and started a successful lifestyle brand. But she’s also started an amazing business on the side.
The Little Market is an online marketplace where customers can purchase beautiful products handmade by artisans around the world. They work with artisans to help them showcase their design skills and generate income for them and their families. Truthfully, it’s written so beautifully on their website that I have to share their words here:
“Our mission is to build sustainable partnerships with artisans from around the world, by connecting them with customers through an online marketplace. We seek to empower women artisans to rise above poverty and support their families.

Working through cooperatives and social enterprises, our artisan partners improve the quality of life in their communities in a number of ways, including literacy workshops, business training, and health programs. Women artisans are often able to work from home while caring for their families, and they can use the extra income to send their children to school. Oftentimes these children will be the first generation to graduate high school.”

I’ll be honest, some pieces in The Little Market are a little out of my price range, but the pieces are so beautiful and the cause is so wonderful that I had to share. However, their 2016 Holiday Gifts Collection is pretty reasonably priced, so I would high suggest checking it out!

Note: This post was not sponsored by The Little Market, I just love the shop and wanted to share it with all of you!
