Do Good
One thing I love? When two organizations I’m a fan of pair up. Teavana just announced that they’re partnering with Girls Inc. To kick off the partnership, they hosted a mentoring session for the NY Girls Inc. girls. These girls got to meet with female media correspondents and bloggers who provided advice to the young women during a speed mentoring session.

This is only of the beginning of the partnership though. They’ve also made a a $100,000 donation and they’re planning more projects to help deepen their relationship. Additionally, the two organizations are going to look for opportunities to provide full and part time jobs at Starbucks and Teavana (Teavana is owned by Starbucks, if you didn’t know). Plus, these girls who get jobs their will also have access to health benefits and a college education. (Remember Starbucks College Achievement Plan?)

How can you get involved? Buy more tea! Starbucks donates US $0.10 from the sale of Teavana® Oprah Chai beverages, and US $0.25 for every 2 oz. of Teavana® Oprah Chai loose leaf tea sold from participating stores in the US and Canada. You can also visit Girls, Inc. to see how you can volunteer with their organization.
