Could there be anything better than two girls trying to change the world? What started as a family project grew into a nonprofit when sisters Harper and Maggie realized that they wanted to help other kids have books at home to read. It’s now grown into a nonprofit, Books and a Blanket, which promotes literacy and well being among young students in need. Since they’ve started, they’ve already given out over 34,000 to children in need!
One of the best parts about this? Anyone can get involved! There are a wide variety of ways that you can help out Harper and Maggie from donating children’s books, make fleece knotted blankets, or volunteering with the organization!
