I told you the retail therapy was real. This time it happened in Old Navy and then I hit up some of the Everlane spring styles. Ready to see what I got?
Old Navy Light-Wash Denim Jacket for Women, Maui XS
How is it possible that I ordered almost the same jacket, but in a different color but the jacket fits differently? This jacket fits really well everywhere, except for the upper arms. Ugh, that and my hips, that’s always where it goes wrong. The arms are fitted, but just a little tight? Otherwise it’s a great jacket. I love the color and it looks really cute. It makes me think that I should probably just return it then. But I don’t know because I really like it!
Verdict: I don’t know yet.
Old Navy Mid-Rise Pixie Chinos for Women, 2P, Moss Landing
I feel like forest green (or in this case moss landing green) is the pants color I’ve been on the hunt for forever. This one was the perfect color, but I’m iffy on the pants in general. They’re fitted, but they fit. I don’t know how much I love the pockets cut in front. The length is a little long, but it’s fixable. Finally, I have a little bit of a gap between my back and the pants. Will I keep them? I think I need to try them again.
Verdict: Need to try it on again.
Old Navy Button-Front Twill Patch-Pocket Mini for Women, Neutral Stripe, Size 2
Okay, at least I know that I LOVE this skirt. It looks a little green in the picture, but it’s actually a white and tan stripe skirt. It looks just as cute in person. It’s a high waist and the buttons are real. It’s fitted around top, but that’s it. Basically, you need to run out and get this skirt.
Verdict: Keep
Everlane The Japanese GoWeave V-Neck Tee, Dusty Blue, Size 0 (c/o Everlane)
I received this top from Everlane and I love it! The fabric is heavy enough that it weighs itself down, but it’s still roomy and flow-y. What’s really cool is that if you see it just on the hanger, it looks like of square and shapeless. But once you put it on and tuck it in a little, it all of a sudden has shape. The other thing I want to mention is that the armholes might seem a little too big, but they aren’t. Your bra isn’t visible at all, it’s just nice and airy.
Verdict: Totally keeping.
Everlane The Cotton Mockneck Muscle Tank, Rose/Bone Stripe, XS
I’ve seen both Nora and Ashley (two Beautycounter girls I’m friends with) wear this top, so of course I had to try it too (haha). It’s so stinking comfortable and the fabric is so soft. I also love the rose color. I was a little concerned about the mockneck, but I actually really like it. This top is going to look really good layered under white sweaters!
Verdict: Totally keeping.
Everlane The Lightweight French Terry Crew, Pale Yellow, XS
I told you I loved crew neck sweaters. This one from Everlane is amazing. It’s a terry cloth fabric, so it’s super soft. I also love the pale yellow color. It’s such a cozy, comforting color, how could you resist?
Verdict: Keep
Amazon Women’s Casual Loose Pocket Long Dress Short Sleeve Split Maxi Dress Navy Blue XS
I LOVE this dress. How could you not? It feels like pajamas but looks like you’re trying. For fit reference, I’m exactly 5 feet tall and the dress is a tinyyyy bit long on a me. It could stand to be hemmed maybe an inch, but I could also potentially knot it. Other than that, the fit is pretty spot on, so I would suggest ordering true to size. The slit is also on both sides, which makes it easy to walk in. And yes, THERE ARE POCKETS.
Also, if you don’t like the navy, that’s okay, this dress comes in like 47 other colors, so you can find the color you need.
Verdict: Keeping. And maybe ordering in other colors.
