It’s July and DC is hot, so I ran away to Wisconsin for a week. Now let’s catch up on everything else that’s going on!

reading

Oh gosh, everything I picked up at the ALA conference! In case you’ve been ignoring me for the past three weeks, I went to the American Library Association Conference a few weeks ago and it was book heaven. I picked up so many advanced reader copies and I just don’t know where to start! Okay, that’s a lie. I started with Erin Morgenstern’s The Starless Sea, and then next up is The Grace Year, American Royals, and The Nickel Boys (the new Colson Whitehead!). Basically, expect a lot of reviews coming your way soon.

P.S. Don’t forget that on Sunday, July 7th, Anne and I are hosting a books link up! Share any of your recent book posts and come check out what everyone is reading.

enjoying

Being in Wisconsin! Gosh, I love coming back here. The weather is much cooler than DC’s crazy humidity and it’s so nice here during the summer.

finding

New tea shops in DC. Last year I wrote about visiting different tea shops in DC and then I kind of just dropped that series. Well, I want to bring it back now! I’m starting to add more tea shops to my list and hopefully I’ll have a post done before the end of the summer.

tasting

My drinks through my collapsible travel mug! I got this collapsible travel mug on Hitha‘s recommendation and I’m in love with it now. It’s so easy to use and carry around. I actually bring mine to work and use it all day long for my constant tea runs. I loved it so much that I even went and ordered a second, larger one that comes with a straw so I can put my iced chai tea lattes in them.

saving

Up my money for the new Beautycounter line! I’m going to go more into detail about it on Monday, but Beautycounter is going to be releasing a new skincare line that’s all about the clean version of Retinol. It’s going to help with clearing your skin and reducing fine lines without all of the harsh side effects that can come with using Retinol. I won’t actually need to save up all my money for it, but no harm in being prepared!

P.S. Sign up for my mailing list now so you can hear about the release right away and get special offers from me!

As always, linking up with Anne In Residence.
