Blogger Bloopers, Vol. 8

I have to admit, blooper posts are some of my favorite posts do to.

Why?

When I was growing up, I remember looking through magazines and seeing pictures of the girls who were “my age.” These girls were shot at the perfect moment. They looked like they were having a blast and nothing ever went wrong. These magazines were great to look at, but they just didn’t seem real. Every time I looked at it, the girls just didn’t feel like they were real people.

Fast forward to now.

I still read those magazines, but I also read a lot of blogs. This time though, I know these girls are real. These girls are my friends. I’ve been with them while they’re shooting pictures and I know the ridiculously hard work that goes into making every single picture that they make and shoot and share with you.

But I also know that readers don’t always get to see that.

With snapchat and insta-stories, you get a better look behind the scenes, but not all of the time. We still share with you that perfect shot. The perfect close up of our bag, the best full body shot, etc. And that’s kind of the point. You know that and I know that. I want to share clothes and shoes in their best light with you. When I love something and I want to share it with you, I want it to look as good as possible.

So what does this have to do with blooper posts?

Blooper posts are my way of giving you that look behind the scenes. It’s that reminder that I am a real person and every shot I take is not a good shot. In fact, I look pretty ridiculous in a lot of them. It takes a lot of those ridiculous shots to find the few good ones that I’ll share over here and on instagram. Those are golden. But these blooper shots, these are some of my favorites. So who am I to deny you the pleasure of seeking how ridiculous I look when I’m mid-pose? Or when I’m talking to my photographer? Or when I start mini dance parties during my shoots?

Now that I’ve talked your ear off, here are the my blogger blooper pictures: summer edition.

If I ignore the wind, it’ll just go away, right?

It’s time for that dance-break booty shake!

Don’t try to stop a photographer mid picture. They will do this to you as revenge.

Original Post

Also, don’t try to adjust your dress mid picture. The results won’t be good.

Original Post

I don’t even want to know what was happening here.

Original Post

Not another picture. Please.

Original Post

I’m pretty sure I had just realized that my hair had been sticking up straight for the last 20 pictures.

Original Post

I suggest not stopping mid-twirl. It’s a little dangerous.
