Remember back in October when I told you guys that I was starting to play around with the idea of trying out clean beauty products? Well, while I started with just shower products back in October, I’ve dived deeper into the world of clean beauty and I’ve been playing with even more products from Beautycounter.

The Struggle with Talking about Clean Beauty

I’ve struggled with talking about Beautycounter on here before for a few reasons: first, I haven’t talked about a lot of beauty things on here before, so I always feel a little out of my depth with it. Second, their products aren’t exactly cheap. So suggesting you try out a product that isn’t a $6 mascara at CVS feels weird. Especially since I had only used it for a few weeks at that point. Finally, there’s so much stigma around the idea of clean beauty and if it’s actually a thing or just a scam. Or if those products work as well.

So all of those things together make it seem like a really weird brand or set of products to broach here. But, it’s now been a few months since I’ve started trying out products from Beautycounter and I wanted to share those products with you. PLUS, those products are ALL on sale now for 15% off, which I’ve been told very rarely happens. Also, the site is offering free shipping on any orders over $50. So if you’re interested in trying any of the products I mention below, now would be the time. The great thing about everything is that if you don’t like it, Beautycounter will let you return products for up to 60 days (for free). Why not try something out.

Now that you know about the sale, I figure I should share some of my favorite products that I’ve tried so far.

The Beautycounter Black Friday Sale

No. 3 Balancing Facial Mask

I thought it would be fun to start off with some products that I haven’t talked about yet! I love face masks. My preference is sheet masks and then peel masks, but when a mask has so many 5 star reviews, you have to give it a shot. Even if it’s neither sheet or peel mask. The mask actually goes on pretty easily and then is done in about 20 minutes.

I tried this product right after I had gotten off of a plane and my face immediately broke out. It was not a pretty sight. Since I had the face mask with me, I decided to try it out and the reviews were right, it felt like it just sucked everything bad out! My skin felt significantly more under control after that. After dealing with bad breakouts for the past year and a half (a birth control switch that ended up not working out), my skin has finally been clearing up and I think that this face mask is what I need to give my acne the final boot to get and keep it out.

I plan on combining it with the charcoal soap bar, but the lack of soap dish in my house has delayed me trying that out.

Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion

I swear, once it gets slightly cold, my skin becomes light tissue paper. It dries out so quickly and I always feel like I’m fighting a losing battle. I had previously tried Beautycounter’s body lotion, but that was too thin for my liking (I don’t like everything on this site).

The Adaptive Moisture lotion is so much better though! It’s been really helpful with repairing my poor dry hands (especially while I’ve been in super cold Wisconsin). It’s not thin and a little bit goes a long way (I usually do two pumps). I also like that it has a mini pump at the top instead of trying to squeeze out a bunch of lotion. It’s all about the little things, right?

Color Intense Lipstick – First Date

Ever since I discovered that I look like a ghost in pictures without lipstick I’ve started wearing it all of the time in blog pictures. Which has also lead to me wearing it more and more in my personal life. I honestly never thought I would be a lipstick person, but since I go pretty minimal with my make up, it’s nice to do a fun lip!

The Color Intense Lipstick was the first “lip” product that I’ve ordered from Beautycounter and I’m already hooked on it. I originally ordered the wrong color for my skin tone (major user error on my part). Luckily, Beautycounter let me return it for a full refund. I ended up getting a much more fun and flirty pink color. What I love about this lip stick is that it goes on so easily and your lips feel so soft and smooth with it on! I haven’t done a full day test, but I plan to! It did last for a while when I wore it for half a day.

Daily Shampoo & Daily Conditioner

I already reviewed both of these back in October, but no harm in an update, right? I’ve kept using both products and I still love them both! My hair has stayed really healthy, which has been necessary since I ended up going from May to November without being able to get a haircut. My hairdresser was actually impressed with how healthy my hair was, despite having gone that long without getting it cute.

The only downside (for me at least) is that it hasn’t helped with my scalp drying out in the winter. I don’t know if I need to be better at shampooing there. Or if I should start to incorporate head and shoulders back into my hair routine every once in a while. That couldn’t hurt, right?

Body Wash in Citrus Mimosa

I’ve also already reviewed this, but I’m still absolutely loving it. My non-facial acne from my other body washes has cleared up and nothing has reappeared. Plus, it smells amazing.

Overnight Resurfacing Peel

I haven’t actually tried out this product, but my mom has and she LOVES it! She told me that she loves putting it on at night and loves using it.

What I’m Getting Next During the Beautycounter Black Friday Sale

That’s what I’m currently using with Beautycounter! But since this sale is so good, I’m also looking at picking up the One-Step Makeup Remover Wipes, SOS Acne Spot Treatment, and another Color Intense Lipstick. Also, one of the holiday sets is a Charcoal Essentials, which has the mask and bar, which will be less than $50 with the discount!

Let me know if you decided to pick up anything or if you have any questions about any of the products! I’m more than happy to answer all of your questions.
