Gifts that Give Back: Jewelry with a Cause

Note: This post is sponsored by Nakturnal, but as always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Something Good.

I’m so excited for this holiday series to come back! Dun da-da-dun da-da-dunnnnn. (Did that sound like an announcer trumpet? It did in my head.) Announcing: Gifts that Give Back! The gifting series that focuses around great gifts you can give this holiday season that also help others in need.

Today’s brand is one that would be perfect for any woman in your life: mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, niece, best friend, girlfriend, etc. Let’s dive in!

AUrate

What’s AUrate?

They’re a company that believes that every woman deserves jewelry that lives up to a higher standard. They build jewelry that’s durable and built for everyday wear with transparent pricing.

Pricing

Unlike other brands, all of their jewelry is made in the United States (specifically New York City). So you don’t need to worry about any import taxes, no middlemen, or insane markeups.

Ethical Jewelry

Even their jewelry is ethical! AUrate only uses 100% recycled gold (a practice that I’ve never even heard of!). Their diamonds are tracked from from mine to workshop, making sure their mines have decent working conditions, fair pay, and respect the local communities. Finally, their pearls are sustainability farmed and harvested in a way that ensures the well-being and biodiversity of the marine environment. Thanks to these boundaries, they’ve been able to make amazing jewelry with little risk to the environment.

Quality Jewelry

Remember how they only use recycled gold? Well, to create their pieces, they also used sustainably made 14K gold, 18K gold, or 14K gold-plated vermeil.

How do they give back?

Books, books, books! Did I mention I love books? Well, if you do too, this brand is perfect for you! Giving Back is a huge portion of Aurate’s mission. That’s why they’ve partnered with Mastery Charter to support developing literacy. How? Well, for each piece purchased from AUrate, they’ll donate a book to children in need across the country!

I picked out two stacking rings that I loved and paired them together for this post. I love how delicate they are and seem to just tie everything together.

There are a few more gifts that give back and gift guides that I have coming your way, but in the meantime, you NEED to check out these $5 gift guides from Janssen. They’re so much fun!
